PDS success for TPP

Many congratulations to Amy Barnett from Atkins and Ian Woodhouse from Mott Macdonald: TPS members who were successful in the most recent round of TPP approvals, published at the end of last year.

Both had recently completed the PDS and were able to move to TPP around two years later.

Amy has also taken over as PDS Manager for Atkins, who have provided three of the last six PDS completions.

In addition, Amy has been judged by the TPP reviewers and Professional Standards Committee as giving an Outstanding Performance at Professional Review.

This accolade is not awarded every year and requires a very high standard indeed.

Amy said:

“I am really proud to have been successful in achieving CTPP status last year after seven years of working for Atkins. I completed the PDS scheme in 2019 and this really helped me make the transition to TPP. The TPP review process was challenging (as it should be!) and enjoyable and I am really looking forward to encouraging more Transport Planners to achieve this accreditation.“

TPS Skills Director Keith Buchan said:

“Amy was a great PDS candidate and thoroughly deserved her award.  She is now making a real contribution to the profession as a PDS Manager and providing an important role model as a Chartered Transport Planner.  We look forward to working with her on the skills agenda in 2022 and beyond.”
