The TPS  Board has once again chosen JFG Communications to deliver our annual Transport Planning Day campaign and PTRC, for the first time, to provide event management services for the Parliamentary Reception, Transport Planning Day and regional events.

Now in its fourth year, Transport Planning Day 2021 will focus on equality, diversity and inclusion. The campaign will help highlight what needs to be done to address the barriers that still exist, ensuring everyone can access the services and opportunities they want and need as we recover from the pandemic.

As with the format last year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, this year’s campaign will be run entirely on-line. Launched in spring, the campaign will build up to a series of regional events and a parliamentary reception in the autumn. The campaign will finish with Transport Planning Day on 15thNovember 2021.

Back in 2018, JFG Communications helped us bring to life our wish to create Transport Planning Day; a day that would raise the profile of transport planning and highlight the vital role transport planners play in society. Campaign coverage has grown steadily since then.

Chair of the Transport Planning Society, Mark Frost, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with JFG Communications once again on our Transport Planning Day campaign and to bring in PTRC to run the events"

“Over the past three years, JFG have really proven their capability to run this type of campaign. By combining this with their unparalleled contacts at high levels within the government and the transport industry they have increased the profile of our campaign. PTRC has a first class track record in organising events and we look forward to working with them to reach an even wider audience"

Daniel Parker-Klein, Director of PTRC commented “from its inception, PTRC has been an advocate of TP Day and all it symbolises.  We are now enormously proud to join forces with TPS to help grow this great initiative, and to further equality, diversity and inclusion as we strive to create a more equitable post Covid society”

Jo Field, Founder and Managing Director of JFG Communications added: “We’re thrilled the Transport Planning Society has asked us to deliver their Transport Planning Day campaign again this year. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with TPS over the past three years, and it’s been great to see help the Society develop Transport Planning Day into a firmly established event in the transport industry calendar.”

JFG’s and TPS’s collaborative campaigning has been recognised at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Awards, where the Transport Planning Day 2020 campaign has recently been shortlisted for transport campaign of the year.
