Doing a better job: A Systems Approach to Infrastructure Delivery - ICE report launched

The ICE report, A Systems Approach to Infrastructure Delivery (SAID) was launched on Tuesday 15 December 2020 (also attached) and is accompanied by an ICE-commissioned short, animated film and big picture infographic explaining SAID’s background and principles.

Main recommendations

The report states that infrastructure needs to catch up with more technologically advanced sectors and capitalise on its increased role in the UK’s short and long-term plans. Following the Government’s announcement of a National Infrastructure Strategy and against a backdrop of costly, high-profile infrastructure failures, the report provides case studies, guiding principles and other recommendations, regarding the leadership, culture and organisation of infrastructure projects.
