Sue Percy, Chief Executive of CIHT, awarded a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours, joined the TPS Board Meeting on 13 June to discuss closer cooperation between the two organisations especially on the recently announced Chartered Transport Planning Professional title.

It was a lively and productive meeting with a far ranging discussion, chaired by Stephen Bennett. The Board congratulated all those who  worked on the joint development of the CTPP by CIHT and TPS and discussed a programme to promote it to all transport planners who have completed the TPP. Closer cooperation on regional events between TPS and CIHT  will also be explored. 

A paper on an improved communications strategy was discussed and endorsed to ensure that TPS continues to evaluate and improve all channels for communicating with our members - including the website and social media. 

The next Board Meeting will be held on 5 September and members are encouraged to send in any comments to the Stephen Bennett at chair@tps.org.uk
