TPS invites applications for the TPS Business Manager Consultancy

After nearly 20 years of providing support to TPS in the capacity of Business Manager as a part time consultant, Andy Costain is stepping down this summer.  In this time she has provided administrative and management services to ensure the smooth running of many aspects of TPS’s operation. The society owes a huge debt of gratitude for all the work Andy has put in over the years, often well above and beyond the formal scope of the role. The ongoing success story of the TPS' growth over the last two decades is very much also her success story too. We wish her the very best for the future.

The scope of works includes the promotion of stakeholder membership, liaison with stakeholder members, managing the website, posting news items and vacancies, production of the monthly e-bulletin to members, organising and promoting events, supporting the Skills initiative and PDS, and helping to coordinate the Transport Planning Day Campaign  etc. She attends Board Meetings and the Group Meetings and contributes to discussions on the strategic objectives of TPS.  This is an important role given the voluntary involvement and time pressures on TPS Board Members.

This is a part time role  (approx 2 days per week) conducted under a Consultancy Agreement working from a home office. It requires flexibility, the ability to meet tight deadlines, good administrative, communication and IT skills and obviously an interest in transport planning.

TPS is inviting expressions of interest for this Consultancy Role. If you would like more information and the Tender Documents please email info@tps.org.uk.
