The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is looking for specialists to join its new Knowledge Networks and welcomes applications from both Members and non-members.

There are 50 different Networks across a range of subjects which will identify and help address key infrastructure challenges facing the profession.

Of particular relevance to the TPS are the networks on Transport & Mobility:

• Walking & Cycling
• Inclusive urban planning & development
• Highways infrastructure asset management
• Aviation
• Passenger transport (moving people)
• Freight transport (moving goods)

What will network members gain?

Being part of a Knowledge Network offers members an opportunity to be recognised as a specialist in their field. They will learn from others and support fellow members grappling with some of the biggest issues facing the industry.

It will also allow them to help shape ICE priorities and potentially represent the ICE at public events, on ICE channels, and in the media.

Whether it’s contributing to insight reports, policy statements, industry events, or developing CPD guidance, the Knowledge Networks will be at the heart of the ICE’s work.

How to join a Knowledge Network

Engineers and other infrastructure specialists are invited to browse the list of Knowledge Networks.

Applicants should identify the networks that best match their specialism or area of professional interest before downloading and submitting the application form.

The deadline for submissions is 01 May 2022.

Applications are open to both members and non-members of the institution. ICE is a global institution and welcomes applications from all parts of the world.

Once submitted, the institution’s Community Advisory Boards will assess each candidate's personal statement and suitability to the network.
