Another PDS success

Many congratulations to Jodie Welch who completed the PDS working with Stantec and can now use the post nominal IncTP (Incorporated Transport Planner).  Jodie is based in Cambridge and has just been appointed a Senior Transport Planner at KMC Transport Planning.  This is part of the picture of the growing number of successful PDS completions across the UK with four in January alone.  The pathway to TPP is also clear, 10 PDS completers have already achieved CTPP.

Jodie said:

“I am delighted to have successfully completed the TPS Professional Development Scheme. The PDS process has been hugely rewarding and has allowed me to explore a range of complex transport topics, supported by some incredible sector leaders. I am truly grateful to my mentor Simon and to my colleagues within Stantec who supported me throughout the process. I look forward to applying the experience demonstrated through my PDS in my new role at KMC Transport Planning, and to encouraging others to explore the PDS route to chartership.'

Jodie's Stantec mentor, Simon Young said:

“I'm thrilled that Jodie has successfully completed her PDS.  Jodie has worked hard to complete her PDS and never lost focus on the quality of work she needed to do.  Combined with her work and other professional activities, Jodie is well placed to progress in her career, and I have no doubt that the PDS will benefit her in the longer term.  It has been a pleasure to mentor Jodie over the final part of her PDS process and I know her achievement will be an inspiration to others in the Cambridge team currently in the PDS process.  I am very much looking forward to seeing her career develop, including achieving the TPP.  She will be an asset to anyone she works with and the PDS achievement reflects that.”

Keith Buchan, TPS Skills Director said:

"Congratulations to Jodie for her achievement, we welcome her to the growing community of transport planners who have completed PDS and can now also use the title Incorporated Transport Planner: IncTP.  Stantec have participated in the PDS from the beginning in 2008 and supplied five successful PDS candidates in 2024 – the highest ever!  We look forward to more trainees following Jodie ’s excellent example.”
