The deadline for both the PhD Scholarship and the Diversity Scholarship to attend the 'Global Challenges in Transport : Urban mobility after COVID-19’ course is on the 19 of October.

The 'Global Challenges in Transport : Urban mobility after COVID-19’ is the new 4 weeks fully online executive education course by the Transport Studies Unit (TSU) at the University of Oxford (16 November – 13 December 2020). The course builds on the experience and networks that the TSU has established via running its popular Global Challenges in Transport Programme, which since 2012 has attracted hundreds of transport decision-makers and researchers to Oxford to discuss the future of transport.

This new course will be fully online and offer many opportunities for interactions and networking. It offers completely new original content, putting together the latest academic research in transport and mobility studies in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lectures will cover key topics such as:

  • dealing with the challenges of decarbonising transport,
  • the promises of smart technologies for transport,
  • the future of hard and soft infrastructures, and
  • multi-level governance for changing transport systems.

Participants will have an opportunity to discuss the challenges they are facing in their work and research with world-leading experts, taking this as a unique opportunity to network with the international Alumni and link with a world-renowned University.

After attending the course, participants  will also be able to become part of the lively Alumni community and will be eligible for a 20% discount towards any of other residential courses.
