Congratulations Andrew -  Another Successful PDS  Completion!

Andrew Walmsley has become the third person to complete the TPS Professional Development Scheme (PDS).  Andrew started PDS whilst employed by CH2m but has in recent years worked on projects for Transport for Greater Manchester before joining them as an employee in the summer of 2016. He successfully sat a PDS final Review in September 2016 and was presented with a certificate of completion by TPS Reviewer Alan Wooltorton and Nicola Kane (Interim Head of Strategic Planning and Research) at TfGM offices on 19^th December.

Reflecting on how PDS has helped and benefited him, Andrew said that:

“The PDS is a highly relevant, comprehensive framework that has helped to advance my career. This challenging but rewarding process, has helped me to build upon core strengths, as well as encourage the broadening of my skillset.  PDS has been critical in empowering me to gain access to new opportunities in order to drive forward my own personal development.

Successfully completing the programme has ensured that I now have the foundations in place to work towards TPP.”

Nicola Kane said:

“We are delighted that Andrew’s hard work has been recognised by the completion of the Professional Development Scheme.

“This comes at a key time for transport in Greater Manchester, as the devolution of powers continues and we work towards finalising our 2040 transport strategy. To have talent like Andrew in our team is reassuring for us and the city-region as a whole.”
