A New Rail Franchise for Kent

Stephen will give a presentation on Kent County Council’s expectations for the forthcoming renewal of the service specification for the SouthEastern franchise. The County Council sees the new franchise as an important opportunity to enhance the High Speed and Mainline rail networks in Kent, to meet the increased demand from planned housing and population growth in the county.

County Hall is located directly opposite Maidstone East station, which has frequent services from London Victoria and Ashford International. For those arriving by car, there are several pay and display car parks in the town centre, but there is no public parking for visitors at County Hall.
