CIHT North East and Cumbria and the Transport Planning Society are pleased to announce the launch in the region of their technical seminar series ‘An Introduction To…’

Aimed at those wishing to achieve TPP, CEng, IEng or EngTech qualifications or following the TPS Professional Development Scheme, this series has been created with the assistance of reviewers within both CIHT and TPS. It is accredited CPD time, and offers an overview of all the core competencies you require an “Awareness” of.

Events will run every month and be repeated annually to allow members to tailor the sessions to suit their own requirements, interests and commitments. The presenters have all been handpicked for their expertise in their subject, and will be available after each session for further questions and to assist members with their pursuits.

Due to the likely popularity of the series, booking for each session is essential. To register and confirm your attendance to each session please see the Eventbrite page.

This session, entitled An Introduction To Academic Research in Transport will see Neil Thorpe and Roger Bird, lecturers at Newcastle University, take us through how research is changing our understanding of transport in the 21st Century, and introduce us to some of the current research underway at the University.

All sessions are FREE to CIHT and TPS members. If you are not a member of either institution, please contact us to request attendance before booking a ticket.
