Senior / Principal Consultant (Development Planning)

Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal Consultant who is able to take a key role in development planning work, to join our growing development team in Manchester.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing development planning projects
• Dealing directly with private sector clients
• Leading on project delivery
• Reviewing and preparing transport documentation for planning
• Technical training of junior members of staff

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Honours degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography or any other relevant subject
• Ability to undertake the preparation of reports
• Experience of working with transport software packages and Excel
• A track record of effective delivery
• Numerical skills
• A positive and enthusiastic approach
• A proactive approach to seeking and sharing knowledge
• High standards of written and verbal communication

Masters in Transport Planning (or equivalent) would be beneficial, but not essential. Chartership of TPP, ICE or similar would be preferred.
