Job Description

This is an exciting position where you will join our established team in the UK and join our Graduate Training Scheme to gather all the skills required to be successful at Haskoning. We will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience across our different transport planning sectors, working alongside some of the world’s leading experts in their field. As a member of the Integrated Transport Planning (ITP) team within Haskoning, you will work alongside skilled professionals united by a shared passion for vision‑led transport planning, designing sustainable mobility solutions that meet people’s needs and help shape places that reflect the unique character of their local context.

What you will do as a Graduate Transport Planner

The job will entail working on a range of projects for both public and private sector clients in the UK and will involve:

- Independently undertaking complex research and analysis tasks

- Writing clear, well thought out report contributions

- Liaising effectively with clients in the course of projects

- Identifying opportunities for follow-up work from existing projects

- Preparing expressions of interest and proposals for new work

- Assisting with the development of marketing materials as required.

What we expect from you

The role might be right for you if you have: 

- An undergraduate honours degree in a related subject (geography, civil engineering, town planning, environmental science or economics) or a master’s degree in transport planning, or up to one year’s post graduate experience in transport planning

- Excellent communication skills

- Experience of working in a team environment

- Strong research and analytical skills

- Excellent report-writing skills 

- An understanding that transport planners have a responsibility to help create more sustainable environments.
