Salary Range: £41,562 - £46,776 pro-rata, per annum (Principal Transport Engineers) or £33,653 - £37,876 pro-rata, per annum (Senior Project Officers). Applications for relocation allowance may be considered

Work Location: Elizabeth II Court, Winchester (Hybrid working - home/office/site visits)

Hours per week: Multiple full time and part time roles available

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Transport Implementation team, we’re ambitious and committed to making a difference in Hampshire through delivering quality transport improvement schemes, working together with internal and external partners.

The positions available are client-side project management roles, requiring strong project management and leadership skills, to deliver projects to successfully meet time, cost and quality requirements, whilst maintaining strong public and political engagement and high satisfaction ratings. 

The Transport Implementation team look after an exciting range of schemes from public realm and sustainable transport schemes to large bypasses. We commission specialist consultants to help deliver our programme and are fortunate to be supported by a strong and capable in-house engineering consultancy that design around 70% of our programme.

You’ll develop and maintain effective close working relationships with various bodies, including the Department for Transport, Local Enterprise Partnerships, transport providers and private sector organisations, together with local stakeholders including district/borough/town/parish councils, business communities and residents.

We have 5 Principal Transport Engineer and 2 Senior Project Officer positions available in the following workstreams:

  • Major Schemes Delivery (projects between £2m and £40m)
  • Integrated Transport Programme Delivery (projects under £2m)
