TPS responds to the DfT's labour market and skills consultation

TPS have responded to the Department for Transport's labour market and skills consultation voicing the views and concerns of transport planners across the UK.

In our response we outlined six key recommendations for the industry after listening to our members:

• Focus on green and technological skills
• Engage early in the education system
• Challenge the industry’s image problem
• Always keep EDI at the top of the agenda
• Establish and create an inclusive work culture
• Formalise chartership / any qualification process
