The East Midlands branch of the Transport Planning Society is organising an event to allow like-minded professionals in our region the chance to meet, discuss their work and network, whilst providing the opportunity to find out about a number of projects across the East Midlands.

The event will include a number of presentations to be given in the Council Chamber, with a buffet lunch provided after the morning session.

This year’s theme is “Transport Challenges and HS2 in the East Midlands”. We will discuss the exciting projects both ongoing and on the horizon in our region, with a particular focus on the forthcoming High Speed 2 railway line, and how we can tailor these to best benefit transport and development.

Managing the pain and looking for the gain
Considering the mitigation of issues associated with HS2 and the seeking of maximum benefit to authorities peripheral to the Toton hub.

In addition, there will be an overview of the Transport Planning Professional TPP) qualification and Q&A session with a TPS Board Member.
