Salary: £32,256 - £36,288 + £3,100 Inner London Allowance

We are looking for someone with an awareness of the risks and challenges faced by analysts and the decisions makers who rely on complex analysis. Someone who is naturally curious and keen to learn. Someone who can clearly communicate practical expert advice appropriate to the risks being addressed. Someone who can influence and offer constructive challenge to experienced analysts.

 

About the role

Working with teams who are contracting or undertaking analysis themselves, in this role you will become a subject expert in analytical assurance. And the work you will support is vital to understanding how well the analytical assurance policy is being discharged, to provide assurance to the Network Rail Board.

 

You will have the opportunity to influence the development of process and to help establish a strong culture of quality around our analysis. You will gain invaluable experience working with a wide range of analytical teams, stakeholders and decision makers. And will provide you with a great opportunity for development.

 

Key accountabilities

  • To contribute to, develop and support the Analytical Assurance Manager in implementing Network Rail’s Analytical Assurance policy
  • To lead on the development and production of training materials in relation to analytical assurance, providing expert advice and delivering training to a range of internal customers and stakeholders
  • To manage, review, evaluate and improve Network Rail’s register of Business Critical Analytical Models
  • To support the Analytical Assurance Manager in giving assurance to the Board and to the Department for Transport on the extent of compliance with Network Rail’s Analytical Assurance policy and with the recommendations of the Macpherson report on the quality assurance of analytical models in government
  • To manage the analytical assurance element of the management assurances process to facilitate the identification and reporting of feedback, issues and risks
