Transport Planning Society Northern Ireland collaborates with the Northern Ireland Executive on The Transport Strategy 2035

The Transport Planning Society welcomes Northern Ireland's draft Transport Strategy and is particularly supportive of the bold statements in relation to demand management, behaviour change and better integration of land use and transport planning to reduce the need for or length of some journeys.

TPS Regional Rep for Northern Ireland, Peter Morrow, led our response to the consultation. Peter says "As the Strategy acknowledges, we all have a responsibility to embed sustainability in how we use, share and develop the transport system. As transport planners we understand the transformative power that getting transport right can have on our communities, and this is achieved by having a clear vision of where we want to be, understanding the realities involved and ultimately, making good choices."
