We're delighted to welcome Falkirk Council as our latest public sector partner.
Matthew Orr, Transport Planning Coordinator at Falkirk Council, commented:
“Falkirk Council is an ambitious local authority progressing with a wide-range of projects and initiatives, which aim to stimulate economic growth, reduce inequalities and promote sustainable development. We are currently delivering on our Local Transport Strategy and Active Travel Strategy, where we are developing an ambitious pipeline of transport projects across the district to support our communities and deliver transport solutions for all.
We envisage being part of the Transport Planning Society’s Partner Programme as an opportunity to collaborate with other partner local authorities, where we would like to learn from others and share best practice. We also see this as a great opportunity to grow the profile of our Transport Planning team and support with current and future activities within our organisation, such as project / service delivery, professional development and staff recruitment. Furthermore, we are keen to explore opportunities to take part in TPS initiatives and events, and keep up-to-date with transport trends and developments throughout the UK, which we will consider within the context of our local authority.”
The TPS Partner Programme is designed to provide organisations with exclusive benefits and tools to help them achieve their strategic goals, while connecting with a network of like-minded businesses. Public Sector Partners receive the exclusive benefits of the programme free of charge.
