TPS Quiz 2026

The Transport Planning Society (TPS) is delighted to announce the return of its highly anticipated Annual Quiz Night. Scheduled for Thursday, 26th March, this year’s event promises another evening of camaraderie, competition, and networking for professionals and enthusiasts across the transport planning sector.
Starting at 6:30pm, the quiz will see teams from across the UK compete in a synchronised battle of wits. While specific venues are currently being finalised and will be announced shortly, the event typically spans multiple regions—from London and Birmingham to Edinburgh and Bristol—fostering a sense of unity and friendly rivalry among the nationwide transport planning community.
How to Participate
Prospective participants are encouraged to form teams of up to five members. In keeping with tradition, the quiz is open to all, though each team must include at least one TPS member to take part.
Entry fees remain accessible at £2 per person for TPS members and £3 for non-members. These contributions directly support the prize fund for regional winners. Please note that depending on the local venue selected, additional charges may apply to cover food and drink.
The Stakes
Beyond regional bragging rights, the stakes are high: the highest-scoring team across all participating venues will be crowned the National TPS Quiz Champions and take home the prestigious traveling trophy.
Join the Society
The Quiz Night is also an excellent opportunity for non-members to learn more about the benefits of joining the Transport Planning Society. Annual membership is currently £42, with students eligible for up to three years of free membership. New members can even sign up on the night of the quiz to take advantage of professional development resources and networking opportunities.
Registration
Due to the popularity of the event and limited capacity at regional venues, early registration is essential. Priority will be given to TPS members.
Keep an eye on the official TPS website and your email inbox for the forthcoming announcement regarding specific venue locations and the opening of team registrations. For any immediate inquiries, please contact

We look forward to seeing who will rise to the challenge and showcase their expertise this March!
