Save your place for the new TPS lunchtime session on: Buses

Last year we asked our bursarians to write a paper answering the question: 'Buses – how do we ensure they take their rightful place as a key player in the UK’s public transport network?'

Join us for this lunchtime session with our 2022 TPS Bursary Finalists, as we launch the TPS Bursary for 2023. Gather inspiration from these four transport planners and their fascinating approaches to tackling the 2022 Bursary Paper Question and explore what role can the bus take in tackling the current challenges of:

• post-covid recovery,

• cost of living crisis,

• climate crisis,

• inequality

Join us on 6th July to hear from the 2022 Bursarians about their papers, an opportunity to ask them questions, and to find out more about the 2023 competition. Reserve your spot now HERE!

Speakers:

• Jamie Smith (Winner of the 2022 Bursary) – Arup – Changing the parameters of Community Transport to deliver greater economic and social value to rural areas across the UK

• Orla Lenehan – Transport for Wales – Ensuring Public Transport Is Back In BUS-iness

• Vivian Elby – Leeds City Council – Back on course: how to level up buses and enhance transport options for everyone
