PDS success for Jacobs

Many congratulations to James Meredith from Jacobs who has successfully completed the PDS and can now use the post nominal IncTP (Incorporated Transport Planner).  James is based in Exeter and is one of seven transport planners this year to be awarded a PDS completion – all of whom were based outside London.  This is part of the picture of the growing number of successful completions across the UK.  The follow through to TPP is also clear, 10 PDS completers have already achieved CTPP.

James said:

“It feels great to have completed the PDS and an achievement I am proud of following all the hard work that goes into it. Undertaking the PDS has given me new opportunities within transport planning, and it has helped me view all aspects of my work in different ways. A big thank you to my mentor, Emma, and my colleagues, in particular Chris and Sam, who have supported me and provided advice throughout. It forms a key milestone in my journey towards chartership and I’m looking forward to working towards TPP in the near future.”

Keith Buchan, TPS Skills Director said:

"Congratulations to James for his achievement, we welcome him to the growing community of transport planners who have completed PDS and can now also use the title Incorporated Transport Planner: IncTP.  Jacobs is a strong supporter of PDS and this result illustrates the value our skills partners find in PDS participation.  We look forward to even more trainees following James’s excellent example.”
