Many congratulations to Harry Norman from AtkinsRealis (now with South Gloucestershire Council) who has successfully completed the PDS and can now use the post nominal IncTP (Incorporated Transport Planner).
Harry said:
“I am really happy to have completed the TPS Professional Development Scheme. This experience has given me a strong breadth of skills and experience across Transport Planning. A massive thank you to my mentor Tracey Poole who stuck with me despite me moving from AtkinsRéalis to South Gloucestershire Council. This new role at South Gloucestershire Council has already given me major project management experience, and a deeper appreciation of how transport planning fits into the wider world, both of which will be key in my progression to the TPP. The TPS PDS is an excellent opportunity for new transport planners to gain a respected qualification while getting into a good practice of documenting their work experience and progress.”
Harry’s mentor Tracey Poole said
““Congratulations Harry for completing the PDS, particularly keeping going with a change of job! – it has been great seeing you gain a wide range of experience through the PDS which I’m sure is standing you in good stead in local authority”.
Keith Buchan, TPS Skills Director said:
"Congratulations to Harry for his achievement despite changing jobs at the end of his PDS journey. TPS welcomes him to the growing community of transport planners who have completed PDS and can now also use the title Incorporated Transport Planner: IncTP. We hope he will continue his professional development in his new role in the public sector. We also look forward to more trainees following Harry’s excellent example.”
