Last week, the Transport Planning Society teamed up with CILT and CIHT for a powerful event at TfL Headquarters in London, and online, focused on creating transport systems that work for everyone. The event brought together experts and lived experience voices to explore inclusive design, co-cultivation, and systemic change in transport planning.

Speakers emphasised that accessibility is more than infrastructure - it’s about dignity, independence, and belonging. They highlighted the importance of designing with users, not just for them, and called for early and meaningful engagement with underrepresented groups.

The event was a reminder that accessible transport is a human right and a vital investment in our shared future.
