Transport Planning Day 2020: South East Regional Event "Tackling Air Pollution in Practice"

Tuesday 10th November 2020: 12:00-13:30 

TPS South East Region is delighted to be hosting a local event as part of the Transport Planning Day 2020 campaign.

For this online event we will be partnering with the University of Southampton, Hampshire and Southampton councils, and Go South Coast bus operator to discuss topics related to the Transport Planning Day 2020 theme of climate change, focusing on the impact of motor traffic on air quality.

The event will be chaired by John Dales of Urban Movement.

Speakers for the event include:

• James Moore, Hampshire City Council - Air quality and transport in Hampshire: The emerging picture
• Professor John Preston and Dr Alan Wong, University of Southampton - A review of trends in road traffic and air quality in Southampton 2019-20
• Paul Walker, Go South Coast - Decarbonising public transport
• Neil Tuck and Carolyn Ireland, Southampton City Council - A practical guide to delivering school street closures; the challenges and opportunities.
