Transport Planning Society announces proud sponsorship of Mobility Camp 2025 – Re-imagining the Rules
The Transport Planning Society (TPS) is delighted to confirm its sponsorship of Mobility Camp 2025, the annual flagship transport ‘unconference’ taking place at Techniquest, Cardiff, on Monday 29 September 2025. Running under the theme “Re-imagining the Rules”, this year’s gathering will challenge professionals to rethink the rules that shape the UK’s transport system.
Mobility Camp brings together planners, modellers, engineers and community representatives for a day of discussions shaped entirely by attendees themselves. Instead of a fixed programme, participants propose and vote on sessions on the morning of the event, ensuring conversation focuses on the issues people most want to explore. From decarbonisation and social justice to funding reform and digital innovation, no topic is off the table. It is run entirely by volunteers.
Mobility Camp’s open, inclusive format mirrors TPS's commitment to professional development and diverse perspectives. We are proud to sponsor an event that empowers practitioners – particularly students and early-career colleagues – to set the agenda and test bold ideas.
Now in its eighth year, Mobility Camp has earned a reputation for sparking practical action. Previous editions have inspired collaborations, peer-reviewed research and policy pilots that are reshaping local mobility choices. The 2025 Camp promises to raise the bar again by asking: Which rules are stifling progress, and how can we rewrite them for people, planet and place? Attendees will enjoy access to collaborative spaces throughout Techniquest.
Tickets are on sale now with three options: free for professionals aged 25 and under, £10 for voluntary-sector attendees, and £40 for private-sector delegates. Early booking is strongly advised as past camps have quickly sold out. To secure a place, visit https://mobilitycamp.co.uk and click “Book your tickets now!”.
