Developing A National Approach to Managing Disruption

This webinar session will explore how the UK can move toward a more consistent and strategic approach to disruption planning and mitigation. It will outline the benefits of Travel Demand Management (TDM) being implemented in conjunction with planned works to the network and provide a platform for practitioners, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss opportunities arising from the publication of the Better Connected strategy to shape thinking around potential national guidance on TDM.

Purpose of the Session: The webinar will examine the need for national-level guidance to support authorities and delivery bodies in planning, communicating, and managing disruption arising from major schemes. It will look at what TDM strategies are and how these can be consistently embedded into project development, appraisal, and long-term planning.
