TPS members’ TPP success

The results of the May TPP professional reviews have now been released, with 9 new TPPs.  Many congratulations to all of them but especially to TPS members Steven Reid, Jennifer Searle, Alex Welch, Helen Rigby and David Conlon.

David was also named an Outstanding Professional Review Candidate – an award made by the TPP’s Professional Standards Committee (PSC) and only when the highest standards have been met.  Their commendation said:

“David was an excellent candidate and presented well in all areas in which he had declared Experience and Proficiency, which were all comfortably met through his presentation, review responses and portfolio of evidence.

David was very clear that he wishes to mentor other TPP candidates in Ireland and he should be encouraged to do this as he fully understands what is needed and his portfolio could be recommended for him to share as an excellent example for others to follow.”

The certificate was presented by former TPS Board Member Tim Morton at the European Transport Conference in Dublin on 11^th October.  Keith Buchan, TPS Skills Director and PSC member said:

“The award is not given every year so this is a mark of real achievement by David.  He is active in our continuing work in the Republic to connect transport planners with each other and to progress the highest possible standards.  Many congratulations from all of us!”
