We are currently recruiting talented individuals to help deliver transport planning projects for our expanding client base.  With over 300 specialists in our Transport Planning business we have the flexibility and resources to provide our clients with an extensive range of services including transport policy and strategy planning, traffic modelling, scheme appraisal, travel demand management, scheme design and development planning.

The Roles

  • We are recruiting Transport Modellers and Data Analysts across all grades for our Transport Planning business and would like to discuss our exciting range of opportunities with prospective candidates.  We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who wish to contribute to shaping and growing a high performing, dynamic team, working seamlessly across our national business. We cover all aspects of multidisciplinary design and management from inception to options appraisal through to detailed scheme design and delivery support. Our team support our clients in finding the best outcomes for their transport challenges.  We develop innovative solutions and advise on everything from project costs and benefits to the best options to unlock investment.

The Candidates

  • We have an exciting range of opportunities across disciplines and levels of experience.  Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of working to time and budget constraints.
  • Candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical skills and competencies commensurate with their level of experience such as:
  • Development, application and documentation of macro modelling techniques using software packages such as SATURN, EMME/2, CUBE and VISUM.
  • Work winning, and other business development activities, including the writing of bid submissions and fee proposals
  • Development and application of variable demand transport models in line with WebTAG guidance
  • Economic evaluation of transport schemes using COBA, TUBA etc
  • Programming capabilities including PYTHON etc
  • Micro Simulation modelling and techniques
  • Use and application of GIS Techniques to transport modelling outputs and analysis
  • In addition, and in recognition of the increasingly common nature of 3D design and advancing gaming technologies such as real-time rendering and virtual reality, our public realm design team have developed Virtual Street Design (VSD) – a design approach that aims to integrate design and visualisation processes built on the Unreal Engine.  This is therefore an exciting opportunity for candidates who also have experience in game engine programming alongside their core modelling and data analytical competencies to support the growth of this platform.
