Transport Manager (Jobshare/Part time)

Job Description

The University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and committed individual to join the University's Environment and Energy Section as the Transport Manager (job share).

The Transport Manager is responsible for delivery of the University's Transport Strategy and implementation of policy, procedures and measures supporting travel to work, travel at work and travel for work. The role-holder will deliver the Travel Plan for the North West Cambridge Development and oversee the development and implementation of site and building travel plans for the rest of the estate.

Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects. In addition, candidates should have substantial knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of sustainable travel plans across large organisations and/or multi-location sites and of implementation of planning and development requirements for travel plans.

This is a great opportunity to help shape the travel policy and performance of a world class institution.

This role is a job share and the successful applicant will be required to work 30 hours per week, preferably to include Thursdays and Fridays. Both job share partners take joint responsibility for the whole job. The precise working pattern will be agreed with the Head of Environment and Energy on appointment.

Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 9th October 2019.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.

Salary: £40,792-£51,630 pro rata.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check, a health assessment and a security check.
