Salary:  £32,256 - £36,288 plus excellent benefits

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will manage the successful development of strategic and holistic options for funders, providing consistency within cross-industry planning whilst proactively seeking opportunities to improve the way the team works.

To do this you will need great communication skills as you will be working with other team members and industry partners to generate best value for money solutions to accommodate future passenger and freight growth across the rail network

What will I be doing day to day?

You will be working with industry partners identifying areas through the Continuous Modular Strategic Planning process where changes to the layout or use of the rail network will deliver strategic options.

To do this you will undertake analysis work for capacity studies and develop train service specifications for assessment by the Capacity Analysis Team whilst working with the Senior Strategic Planner for your area to develop business case appraisal of complex projects and route strategies.

You will also;

• Identify and articulate the benefits of changes to the railway by working with industry economists and analysts.
• Help others understand how their priorities relate to the long term strategic view of the railway as a whole
• Embedding thinking about the safety and performance of the railway at the earliest stages of project development
