Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Transport Planner to join our busy team in our Glasgow or Edinburgh office on a permanent basis. Key responsibilities / Duties of the Transport Graduate will include:

  • Providing technical support on a range of transport projects across the UK, including transport modelling, forecasting and appraisal;
  • Managing and analysing large data sets;
  • Conducting primary and desk-based research to support planning and transport projects;
  • Task and Project management - delivering tasks to time and budget; and
  • Preparing material for fee proposals and tenders.
About You

Capabilities and Qualifications:

The ideal Candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic team player, who has a degree / higher level qualification ideally in Transport Planning, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, Geography or equivalent. In addition, the candidate must have/be:

  • Highly numerate;
  • An excellent communicator, with good report writing skills;
  • A positive and enthusiastic team player;
  • Self-motivated; 
  • An interest in keeping up to date with developments in transport planning;
  • Experience of meeting demanding deadlines; and
  • Proficient in the use of Excel.
