Despite the uncertainties surrounding many transport initiatives across the country, one thing remains relatively clear – climate change will continue to be a key policy area for transport planners.

Much has been written about the possibilities of low carbon transport – but are these ideas merely 'blue-sky thinking', or are they realistically achievable?
