At the AGM on 21 March, Stephen Bennett from Arup was confirmed as TPS Chair, taking over from Lynda Addison who completed her two year's of service. 

In taking up this appointment Stephen said:

"I am passionate about transport planning and about having a thriving Society representing transport planner’s interests.  I have been a TPS Board member since 2015 since when I have established the TPS Policy Group, which has done great work on policy consultations and raising our external profile, and was a key architect of last year’s successful inaugural Transport Planning Day campaign.  As Chair I want to focus on improving the smooth running of the Society, growing membership and engaging more with all regions of the Society, and increasing our profile in the wider world."

He thanked Lynda for her inspiring leadership in the past two years and for raising the profile of TPS through many new initiatives. Also to Dominic McGrath, Tiffany Lynch, Tim Morton and Andrew Dennison who stood down as Directors. 

In addition five new Board Members have been appointed:

Justin Bishop, Arup

Mark Frost, London Borough of Hounslow

Martin Gilmour, DfT

James Gleave, MobilityLab Harriet Glen, Transport for London
