TPS will launch the countdown to this year’s Transport Planning Day with a panel debate addressing the highly topical issue of transport and housing. A number of recent and forthcoming publications from CIHT, KPMG for the Transport Knowledge Hub and Transport for New Homes have highlighted a range factors in the planning system that lead to the construction of wholly car-dependent housing. TPS has invited three prominent speakers to discuss the recommendations of these reports and how transport planners can ensure that they are put into practice. Join us for what promises to be a stimulating debate and a chance to put your questions to the panel.

Panelists:

Lynda Addison, CIHT Sustainable Transport Panel

Tim Pharaoh, Transport for New Homes

James Harris, RTPI Transport Planning Network

Chair:

Kate Morris, AECOM and TPS

Venue: Godfrey Mitchell Theatre, ICE, One Great George Street, London SW1P 3AA

The discussion will start at 18:30 and refreshments will be provided from 17:45.

Please register here to attend. The event is free for TPS members.

TPS members will also be able to tune in to the event online.
