Do you have a natural curiosity for how things work? Want to know more about how engineering is integrated into our daily lives? Or perhaps you just like to learn something new in a casual and engaging setting? Then Pitch 200 is for you.

We're putting our members to the test to see how creative they can be when explaining what they love about civil engineering. See talented engineers from across London and South East England showcase their work in the most curious and unconventional way.

The top 9 entries selected by expert judges will compete head to head with a 200 second presentation about their chosen engineering concept using all sorts of props and methods.

You'll have the chance to ask questions to each of the finalists about the presentation and their engineering subject and have an insight into new and interesting ideas.

The winner on the evening will need to impress not only you – but by our panel of judges which will be chaired by Antony Oliver Former Editor of Infrastructure Intelligence and Editorial Consultant.

The ICE London and South East England regional heat is part of the national Pitch 200 competition run by the Institution of Civil Engineers across the UK. The winner from each regional heat will compete in the Pitch 200 Grand Finale in November 2018.

Venue: ICE, One Great George
