Senior Consultant (Social Market Research)

Job Description

SYSTRA Ltd currently have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join their well-established Social and Market Research (SMR) team in their head office in Woking, Surrey.  SYSTRA provides social and market research services, transport planning consultancy, and rail/urban transport engineering services.  With ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting time to join SYSTRA as they continue to develop and raise their profile in the UK.

The SMR team specialises in research for the transport industry, undertaking quantitative and qualitative studies for Government Departments and their agencies, Local Authorities, Transport Executives and Transport Operators. We undertake transport research in the areas of customer experience, environment and sustainability, revenue and ticketing and public policy, using a range of traditional survey techniques as well as large scale public/stakeholder consultations and more complex quantitative techniques such as Stated Preference (conjoint) design. We work across all transport modes, including road, walking and cycling, bus and train, through to aeroplane and boat.

In addition to our work in the transport industry, we often undertake research for utility companies and their governing bodies and, on occasion, work in the areas of health, crime and social inclusion.
