The shortlist is in!

After a highly competitive field, we’re delighted to announce the finalists for the Transport Planning Society’s Transport Project of the Year 2026 award.

The Transport Project of the Year award celebrates innovation, excellence and real-world impact in transport planning. This year’s shortlist showcases four outstanding projects that demonstrate the profession at its very best.

TCR Transport Investment Model – Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

AB-MoTiON – Transport for London (TfL)

Night-time Active Travel Zone – Transport for London (TfL)

Better Connected: A Strategy for Integrated Transport – Department for Transport (DfT)

Congratulations to all the shortlisted teams and everyone involved in delivering these outstanding projects.

The winner will be announced on Transport Planning Day 2026, taking place on Monday 9 November.
