Standard membership
Standard membership costs £50 per year if paid by direct debit; we offer a reduced fee for members who pay by direct debit to recognise the reduced time required by the TPS for processing subscriptions.

Student / Apprentice MembershipFree for a maximum of 3 years, after which you will be invited to transfer to Standard Membership. This category can be extended at the Society’s discretion for those continuing as students or apprentices.
How to pay
Payment is collected by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) on behalf of the TPS.
Already paying by direct debit No further action is required — your subscription renews automatically.
Setting up a direct debit Set up an annual direct debit in the MyICE section of the ICE website, or contact ICE Subscriptions on 020 7665 2227.
Quote your membership number You will need it for all enquiries. Your personal data is also held on MyICE, so this is a good opportunity to update your contact details.
Please note that the ICE is only able to process direct debits aligned to UK registered bank accounts. We apologise to those members who are unable to set up such a facility.
Joining part way through the year
Our subscription year runs from January to December, so we offer discounts to new members joining later in the year.
