We are delighted to announce that David Wilson has been awarded Transport Planner of the Year 2025, and Josef Whitfield has been announced as Young Transport Planner of the Year 2025, following yesterday's Transport Planning Day 2025 event in London.
David Wilson announced as Transport Planner of the Year 2025

Huge congratulations to David Wilson for winning Transport Planner of the Year 2025. As the chief architect for the Lambeth Kerbside Strategy, David has worked on a ground-breaking project that has radically transformed the use of the public realm in an iconic London Borough. The energy David brought to the development, adoption and latterly implementation of this strategy is hugely inspiring, and a real testament to his ability to lead the progressive conversation in favour of a more balanced approach to the use of our streets and public realm.
Josef Whitfield announced as Young Transport Planner of the Year

Josef Whitfield becomes Young Transport Planner of the Year 2025 following his outstanding contribution to Manchester's transport strategy team over the last year. He has led work on the city's default 20mph speed limit policy, and his award-winning paper on pedestrian wait times demonstrated his analytical expertise and policy insight. Josef has presented at two major conferences and spoke as a panellist at the flagship Transport Planning Day 2025 event in London.
Congratulations to both again, as well as the other excellent finalists.
