We are currently recruiting talented individuals to help deliver transport planning projects for our expanding client base.  With over 300 specialists in our Transport Planning business we have the flexibility and resources to provide our clients with an extensive range of services including transport policy and strategy planning, traffic modelling, scheme appraisal, travel demand management, scheme design and development planning.

The Role:

We are recruiting Transport Planners for our Transport Planning business and would like to discuss our exciting range of opportunities with prospective candidates.  We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who wish to contribute to shaping and growing a high performing, dynamic team, working seamlessly across our national business. We cover all aspects of multidisciplinary design and management from inception to options appraisal through to detailed scheme design and delivery support. Our transport planners support our clients in findings the best outcomes for their transport challenges.  We develop innovative solutions and advise on everything from project costs and benefits to the best options to unlock investment.

With a network of offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland we are flexible where candidates can be based and support agile working.  We are particularly keen to hear from those interested in working in Birmingham, Bristol and Cambridge. The Candidates:

We have an exciting range of opportunities across disciplines and levels of experience.  Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication with strong report writing capability.
  • Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and proven success in meeting deadlines.
  • Confident team worker with ability to work independently.
  • Experience of working to time and budget constraints.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical skills and competencies commensurate with their level of experience such as:

  • Development of transport strategies and plans (local and strategic).
  • Scheme appraisal and business case preparation.
  • Transport scheme development.
  • Development of multi-modal transport strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement.
  • Public Consultation.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A range of relevant technical skills and competencies.
  • A relevant planning, economics, geography, engineering degree or similar.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of current UK transport policy.
  • A passion for transportation.
