The Company:

Although being known for engineering, Network Rail is a company of many disciplines, working on some of the country’s biggest infrastructure projects.

Our dedicated Station Capacity team specialises in assessing station layouts in relation to people movement. We use specialist pedestrian simulation techniques and software to identify capacity issues related to station structures. Being part of the Station Capacity Team, you will help in the redesign and planning of some of the UK’s busiest stations. There are multiple vacancies on this level. You will be the Station Capacity lead on a programme which means you will form a close working relationship with the relevant stakeholders and advise them on demand forecasting to be used for stations on the route as well as what the station capacity requirements are for the stations on the route. You will also be looking after a region. You will be liaising with our Strategic Planners and Commercial Scheme Sponsors and provide day to day advice on station capacity issues.

  • You have the opportunity to inspire stakeholders, clients and the supply chain for better provision for our passengers.
