ITP is an award winning and creative transport planning consultancy – with a clear focus on working in partnership with our clients to achieve more sustainable transport outcomes as a result of their projects.  We are looking to employ a highly motivated and experienced transport modeller to develop and lead our modelling team, and to provide specialist inputs to a portfolio of UK and international transport planning projects.  With 10 to 15 years’ experience, you will be expected to:

  • Manage, develop and inspire our transport modelling team
  • Manage public and private sector transport strategy, impact and policy studies in the UK and internationally
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Proactively contribute to company growth

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • A keen interest and experience in developing micro-simulation models to address complex sustainable transport challenges (for example planning for cyclists, pedestrians and public transport users)
  • Knowledge of transport policy, appraisal, business case and associated techniques
  • Proven ‘hands-on’ ability to build, calibrate and validate transport models (micro and macro)
  • An understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different modelling software
  • A keen interest in furthering their own professional development by applying transport models in creative ways to support more sustainable outcomes
  • Leadership and management skills (including thought leadership across the industry)
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent report-writing skills (lead author on project reports and proposals)
  • TPP qualified (or similar)

We offer a flexible, friendly, informal and collaborative working environment coupled with exciting project opportunities, a competitive remuneration package (including salary sacrifice options) and flexible working.  If the idea of joining ITP appeals, then please send your CV and a covering letter (including expected salary) to Jim Bradley (bradley@itpworld.net), or for an informal and confidential conversation call Jim on 0203 300 1810.   Further information on ITP is available at www.itpworld.net.
