Job Description

Are you seeking an opportunity to be part of the team delivering the Greater Manchester Mayor’s £160m ambitious programme of improvements to increase levels of active travel, as part of Cycling & Walking Commissioner Chris Boardman’s plan?

Are you keen to apply your evaluation and research skills to support an evidence-led approach to developing cycling and walking improvements in Greater Manchester?  Are you interested in designing appropriate monitoring and evaluation to measure the effects that these schemes have on people’s lives? 

As Evaluation Officer within our Research and Evaluation team, you will focus on developing and managing the evaluation of cycling and walking schemes. You will be working for a progressive organisation committed to taking an insight-led approach to delivering the , and shaping future sustainable transport provision. 

You will have a proven track record in the formulation and execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects, with experience in managing and delivering the evaluation of programmes. You will have the ability to see the bigger picture, and objectively evaluate options which may be both complex and technical.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be able to communicate effectively and influence a variety of audiences using your excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in transport or health research would be desirable.

The salary range for this role is £38,866 - £43,745.  Salary on appointment will be dependent upon your skills and experience. This is a 4 year fixed term contract.
