Senior and Principal Strategic and Microsimulation Modellers

Job Description

Due to continued growth within our Modelling and Appraisal teams, we have opportunities for talented strategic and Microsimulation modelers at Senior and Principal Consultant grades to join the SYSTRA offices in Birmingham and Leeds.  We are particularly interested in applications from individuals with backgrounds in Strategic and Microsimulation model development and application, development impact assessments, transport scheme appraisals and business cases.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have knowledge and experience of working with Strategic Modelling software such as SATURN, Cube Voyager, EMME, VISUM and/or Microsimulation modelling software such as Vissim, Aimsun and Paramics. Training will be provided to develop your skills across this range of transport modelling packages.

This will be a client - facing role where the post holder will be the key contact with our clients' project managers so the ability to develop and maintain relationships along with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.

Our current workload is very varied and includes development assessments for private sector developers using both microsimulation and strategic modelling software, preparation of business cases for road and public transport schemes, assessment of clean air zone schemes, development of multi-modal transport strategies and also the maintenance and application of the Highways England Regional Models.
