Public Transport Planner- Principal Consultant/Associate level

Job Description

ITP is an award winning and creative transport planning consultancy – with a clear focus on working in partnership with our clients to achieve more sustainable transport outcomes as a result of their projects.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced public transport planner to join our team in Nottingham.  With at least 6 years’ experience, you will be expected to:

• Manage and contribute to a range of public transport projects, including: strategy development, network re-organisations, ticketing and pricing studies, market research, demand forecasting, and business case preparation
• Contribute to business development in public transport
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Contribute to our philosophy of excellence in everything that we do
• Work within our supportive team environment, and supervise and train junior members of staff 

The ideal candidate will have many of the following skills/experience:

• Creative approach to dealing with complex public transport planning issues
• Good understanding of public transport policy and strategy issues
• Understanding of public transport infrastructure and operations
• Knowledge of concessionary fares and/or ticketing systems
• Emerging leadership and management skills
• Well established network of industry contacts and positive client relations
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
• Strong report-writing skills
