An Introduction to the PDS for Trainees

At the last PDS Managers’ meeting it was agreed that a webinar briefing for new trainees on the PDS could be helpful to encourage them to get started and provide them with hints and tips on ‘best practice’. 

In response to this, we plan to run a pilot webinar - An Introduction to the PDS - on Thursday 11 May at 1300 for around an hour. The content of the webinar will include (but not be restricted to):

• A brief outline of the structure of the PDS
• What trainees need to do to get started
• How mentors should help trainees make progress
• Support from the PDS review process

Mentors may also dial in, although this does not replace the mentor training sessions that they need to attend every 2 years.

Individuals should request a link from Christine.Crossley@atkinsglobal.com and are asked not to circulate this to others in their organisation.  Any suggestions or questions in advance of the webinar should also be sent to Christine.
