Launch of 2016 Bursary Competition

The TPS 2016 Bursary Competition has been launched. Young professionals are invited to apply for a £500 Bursary and then submit a 5000 word paper on “Technology in Transport”. This year’s competition is being arranged in collaboration with Transport Systems Catapult.

This is a great opportunity to research a particular aspect of technology in transport and set out your thoughts on the topic. You will be mentored by a senior member of the profession and will be invited to present your views to the TPS Board. Candidates participating in the TPS Professional Development Scheme should note that taking part will contribute to completing the experience and proficiency elements of the PDS.

Coupled with the Bursary competition is an opportunity to attend a special workshop at Transport Systems Catapult in Milton Keynes entitled “Future of Transport” on 26th May.  This will stimulate your thoughts about what technology holds for us in the future. See the separate news and events item.
